"The highest form of compassion is prevention!": The Promotion of Eugenic Thought at a Maritime University

Susan is a part-time academic who teaches in the Department of History at Saint Mary's University. As an education and curriculum specialist, she has spent over a decade supporting program design and implementation at various universities. Her research areas within history and higher education include colonial representations and expectations of Indigeneity, promotion of eugenics in higher education, and ethical curriculum creation and delivery.

Dr. Daniel R. Meister is a Banting Postdoctoral Fellow in the Department of Political Science at the University of New Brunswick. His research includes the histories and politics of "race," "whiteness," and multiculturalism in Canada. He is the author of The Racial Mosaic: A Pre-History of Canadian Multiculturalism

Dr. C. Elizabeth Koester, a former practicing lawyer, is a historian of eugenics and medicine at the University of Toronto. She is the author of In the Public Good: Eugenics and Law in Ontario.
