All are welcome to join us, in person or via Zoom for these exciting talks by three historians working in the history and legacies of eugenics in Canada. These talks are hosted in person at Saint Mary's University in Halifax, Nova Scotia, and located on the traditional land of the Mi’kmaq Nation. This territory is covered by the "Treaties of Peace and Friendship" which Mi’kmaq and Wolastoqiyik peoples first signed with the British Crown in 1725.

 The treaties did not deal with the surrender of lands and resources but in fact, recognized Mi’kmaq and Wolastoqiyik title and established the rules for what was to be an ongoing relationship.
